From 80 year old vineyards at between 600m \u0026amp; 700m altitude, on 3 metre clay soils with a sandy rock base, it is elegant, fine and fresh. Made with 100% Tempranillo Blanco from the only specialist white wine winery in Rioja (they do produce excellent red wines also, but from separate vineyards) on clay vineyards at an altitude between 550-700 metres (with a small layer of sand on the surface).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The Palacios project is really interesting (never mind the wines being fantastic) in that they sourced lots of small vineyards in high altitude areas to develop their wines, but then discovered old vines and also old grape varietals. United scored twice in injury time)  and our criticism of the whites at the time was 'lack of acidity' thus lack of freshness and clarity. The harvest was a fraction later than normal as it was a little cold but they ended up with wines with beautiful concentration, balanced acidity, and impressive ageing potential.   But that's a vintage view!  How is Trus itself? \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's full bodied, with a big dark cherry colour.
