Not all Burgundy wines have to be Meursault or Nuits St Georges, so we went looking for something else - and we found it in Domaine Prunier Bonheur. While their cellars etc are in Meursault, they have vineyards in  Saint Romain, Auxey Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard and Beaune.  Not only that but, as Wine Advocate says 'their range represents keen value .. I'll be following this Domaine with interest in the future'
This wine is from the village of Auxey Duresses where there are only 150 Ha of vines - nearly a trade secret!

Auxey Duress Les Crais 2022 opens with notes of citrus and lemon and oodles of fresh acidity. It is full-bodied with a full and luscious attack but retain a fresh and mineral finish - Voluptuous and buttery! 
It appears incredibly balanced and stays long and complex to the end. Almost Meursault like!   
A real treat and great value, from a great year 2022 (96+ Extra ordinary, Early maturing and accessible, according to Wine Advocate, 95 Points Wine Spectator)
