Welcome to webwines.ie. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the purchase of wines from us. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

webwines.ie is the online business name for The Tunnel Wine Co. Ltd, based in Dublin, Ireland (Company Address: Unit 6, The Forum, 29/31 Glasthule Road, Co Dublin, A96 K8F7, Ireland). We are an online wine merchant specialising in high-quality, good-value wines, hand-selected and imported directly from chosen wineries.

2. Eligibility and Age Restriction

By placing an order with webwines.ie, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to purchase alcohol in Ireland. It is illegal to sell or supply alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. Deliveries must be signed for by a person over 18 years of age.

3. Product Information and Pricing

  • Product Descriptions: We strive to provide accurate and detailed descriptions of our wines. However, vintages, tasting notes, and availability may vary. We do try to include independent tasting notes where available, but please be aware that by the time 'experts' write up wines, that vintage may sometimes be sold out.

  • Pricing: All prices displayed on webwines.ie are in Euro (€) and include all applicable taxes and excise duties. We clearly display all prices and costs in your 'CHECKOUT' before you confirm your order. We have no hidden charges.

  • Availability: All wines are subject to availability. While we endeavour to keep our stock levels updated, occasionally an item may be out of stock. In such cases, we will contact you promptly to offer an alternative or a refund.

4. Ordering Process

  • Minimum Order: Our minimum order is 6 bottles. This allows us to offer you the best quality at the best price and optimise our delivery process.

  • How to Order: Simply click 'Add to Cart' for your desired wines. You can easily adjust quantities up or down in your 'CHECKOUT' cart.

  • Confirmation: Upon placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order request.

5. Delivery

Please refer to our dedicated Shipping Policy Notes for comprehensive details regarding delivery times, costs, and procedures. Key points include:

  • Local (South Dublin) Delivery: Next day, including Saturdays, for most orders.

  • Nationwide Delivery: 2-3 working days.

  • Free Delivery: Free for all Local (South Dublin) deliveries and for Nationwide orders over €150.00.

  • Responsibility for Delivery: We use secure packaging and reliable couriers (Fastway Couriers for nationwide) to ensure safe delivery. We monitor our emails constantly to address any delivery queries.

6. Refunds & Returns

Our commitment to your satisfaction is paramount. Please refer to our dedicated Refunds & Returns Policy Notes for full details. Key points include:

  • Damaged/Incomplete Orders: You are entitled to a full refund for any items not received or delivered damaged. Please notify us immediately at info@webwines.ie with supporting documentation (e.g., photos of delivery docket/damage).

  • Change of Mind: We accept returns for credit for recent purchases (within 28 days) upon safe return of the wines in their original condition. Please contact info@webwines.ie to arrange a return.

7. Payment

We accept various payment methods, which will be clearly indicated at checkout. All payments are processed securely. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

8. Website Usage

  • Accuracy of Information: While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that all information on this website is complete, current, or error-free.

  • Intellectual Property: All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of The1 Tunnel Wine Co. Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by Irish and international copyright laws.
