Shipping policy

At webwines.ie, we are committed to getting your carefully selected wines to you efficiently and safely. We understand that timely delivery is important, and we strive to ensure a smooth shipping experience.

1. Minimum Order & Packaging

• Minimum Order: Please note that we operate with a minimum order of 6 bottles. This allows us to ensure the best quality at the best price and optimise our delivery costs.

• We deliver most of our South Dublin deliveries ourselves, so it'll be John, Conor etc delivering locally   

• Secure Packaging: When using a Courier/Delivery service, all our wines are packed in special, secure boxes designed to ensure they arrive at your door in perfect condition. This may require us to repack wooden cases etc.

2. Delivery Times

We aim for prompt dispatch and delivery, keeping in mind the proper storage of our fine and premium wines.

• Local Deliveries (South Dublin):
  
  

  • For most orders in South Dublin ordered before Noon, local delivery is typically NEXT DAY, including Saturdays.

  • We hold stocks of our popular wines locally for immediate dispatch.

  • For larger stock orders, which are held in our main stores, please allow an extra day for delivery.

  • Important Note:

    We store our Fine Wines and Premium Wines under optimal conditions. While most deliveries are next working day (including Saturdays for local South Dublin addresses) and 2 to 3 working days Nationwide, please allow an extra day or so for Fine Wines. If you're unsure about delivery times for a specific wine, please don't hesitate to email us at info@webwines.ie or use our Contact page. We monitor our emails constantly and will confirm delivery details for you.

• Nationwide Deliveries:
  
  

  • Nationwide orders are dispatched the next working day for overnight delivery.

  • You can typically expect your wine to arrive within 2-3 working days maximum.

  • Our trusted delivery partner for nationwide shipments is DPD.

• Fine & Premium Wines:
  

  We store our Fine Wines and Premium Wines under optimal conditions. While most deliveries are next working day (including Saturdays for local South Dublin addresses) and 2 to 3 working days Nationwide, please allow an extra day or so for Fine Wines. If you're unsure about delivery times for a specific wine, please don't hesitate to email us at info@webwines.ie or use our Contact page. We monitor our emails constantly and will confirm delivery details for you.

   

3. Delivery Costs

We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden charges. All prices and delivery costs are clearly displayed in your 'CHECKOUT'.

• Local Delivery (South Dublin): Delivery is FREE for all local (South Dublin) addresses.

• Nationwide Delivery: Delivery is FREE of Charge for all nationwide orders over €150.00.

• For nationwide orders under €150.00, applicable delivery charges will be clearly shown at checkout.

4. Tracking Your Order

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive confirmation. For nationwide deliveries via DPD, tracking information will be provided where available.

5. Delivery Enquiries

Unsure if you'll get your wine in time for a special occasion, or just have a question about delivery to your specific address?

• Please don't hesitate to email us at info@webwines.ie or use our Contact page.

• Include your address and the wine you are considering ordering, and we will confirm the delivery details for you.

• We monitor our emails throughout the day, even when not in the office, so please ask!

6. Receiving Your Delivery

• Please ensure someone over the age of 18 is available at the delivery address to receive and sign for your order.

• In the unlikely event of any damage or shortages upon delivery, please refer to our Refunds & Returns Policy Notes for instructions on how to proceed.

• Sorry, but as we sell wine, an alcoholic product, we cannot leave your order 'in a safe place' or unattended. An Adult must accept the order.
