Our mission is simple - to offer high-quality wines at great value, hand-selected by experienced and reputable wine specialists. We believe life's too short for average wine.

We are at this a long time!

1982, Jim opens Ireland's first Wine Warehouse in Mounttown, Dun Laoghaire
1986  John joins Jim and they open 'McCabes of Merrion' on Mount Merrion Ave, Blackrock, a multi-award winning Off-Licence specialising in wine.
1989  We open McCabes Off-Licence in Clontarf (that's Jim above at our first Wine Fair!)
1996 We open McCabes Wines in Foxrock village (in what is now Hunters Estate Agents)
2001 We move across the road to The Gables, Wine Bar/Wine Shop/Restaurant

Today, we operate exclusively online from our base in Sandyford, D18, ensuring we can deliver outstanding wines directly to your door.

Our Approach to Wine

We specialise in importing wines directly from carefully chosen wineries, allowing us to cut out the middlemen and offer you a superior price-to-quality ratio. We also cherry-pick the best of what's available locally and, as we sell only cases of 6 upwards, we offer great prices on all our wines! 

You won't find budget plonk or overly expensive luxury brands here; instead, we focus on discovering hidden gems and delivering excellent value.

All our wines are sold in cases of a minimum of 6 bottles. This approach optimises delivery costs and maximises value for you. We also offer regularly changing Tasting Cases, a fantastic way to explore a curated selection of wines without committing to a full case of each. Our unique Tasting Twist option lets us surprise you with a similar high-quality wine, chosen by us, so you can expand your palate.

• Local Deliveries: As most of our more popular wines are stored locally, we generally deiver Next Day for Dublin South orders. We even deliver it ourselves, so say hello to John or Conor or ...
