Produced from the fully Organic* vineyards of Sainte Claire, this Chablis 2023 starts with a gorgeous light straw colour with traces of white flowers and lemon-oil on the nose followed by citrus flavours and a touch of apple and pear. On the palate it strikes a lovely balance between fruit, minerality and acidity. There is no oak influence so it finishes long and crisp with noticeable minerality.

There is a world full of Chablis out there but this is one of the better ones. The problem with Brocard is, though, the different cuvées! All his labels look very similar, so make sure - if comparing - that it's the Sainte Claire Cuvée (which is the best, we think!)

As well as the usual suspects of seafood, shellfish & chicken, this worked surprisingly well with Chinese/Thai flavours, pork belly etc.
