*When we started out in the wine business, everyone drank 'Claret' at Christmas!   Red Bordeaux was your only man!  But as the wine market expanded, other varietals supplanted Red Bordeaux, in particular Pinot Noir, Grenache based wines and Rioja reds. Beaujolais and Australian Shiraz also have their fans.
