The village of Monthelie lies in the Cotes de Beaune between the more famous villages of Volnay & Meursault and offers top quality wines - at more realistic prices!

The Monthelie 2022 is a blend of three parcels from 3 different Terroirs:  “Les Sous Roches”, “Sous le Cellier” and “Les Crays” (Les Crays itself borders Meursault, so like a sister to Volnay-Santenots?) and is - no surprise here - thought of as a feminine wine.
It is definitely Volnay-esque in terms of its silky texture, bright red fruit, and pretty aromatics.

The Monthelie 2022 from Prunier Bonheur shows with a bright ruby/red colour in the glass and offers loads of fruit - cherries and blackcurrants - on the nose. It's packs a big fresh mouthful of fruit that refreshed and lingers.  Its firm and velvety texture overlies delicate tannins leaving a very satisfying finish.

The 2022 vintage in the Cotes de Beaune is outstanding for red wines - 95 points Wine Advocate and 96 points in Wine Spectator. What's not to love!
