Chianti Classico Querceto opens with complex aromas of blackberries, cherries and bramble (sweet dark fruits with a floral undertone) . It is dry and balanced on the palate with a soft balanced body. It finishes with more dark fruit, earthy notes and traces of nutty oak (very fitting - see below).  The sweet tannins linger afterwards. 
It has that dry mid-palate that was always the benchmark of quality Chianti.  This vintage has 92% Sangiovese and 8% others (Canaiolo Nero etc)

Castello di Querceto sits on a hilltop in Greve - the heart of Chianti country - in an oak forest about 20km south of Florence. Makes perfect sense as Querceto means 'Oak Forest'
