Chorey Les Beaune 2020 Les Beaumonts starts with a dark, deep red colour in the glass, while showing bright and perky, damson like fruit on the nose, with an underlying feeling of real energy. It is concentrated and rich (blackcurrant coulis?).  It is nicely balanced - Joel uses 20% new wood, as he says, not to mark the wine but to amplify the sweetness.

This is delicious and great value!

With vines with an average age of 70 years old, this Chorey is a excellent introduction to quality Burgundy - It is an easy-drinking, but undeniably delicious and satisfying Chorey-les-Beaune. 

Domaine Remy is a family owned domaine stretching back to 1853, with obvious style changes over those many generations. Joel Remy has added more immediacy and precision to his wines.

The quality of the fruit is never in doubt, as lovers of his Bourgogne Rouge will attest, and his wines offer striking value!
