A fantastic new arrival, having just scored 96 Points (Luca Maroni) and great reviews elsewhere.

It's a deep red colour in the glass, and shows dark fruits on the nose - think Blackberries and plums.  A part of the grape selection was sun-dried (not quite Amarone though!)  giving a big fruity concentrated mouthful but the soft ripe tannins means it glides and slides through the mouth.  The finish is soft but long and clean - no jammy or over cooked fruit here. 

It is quite full but very soft so pairs with nearly everything - charcuterie (obviously, it's Italian!), most meats and even Asian dishes (as long as they aren't overly spicy - although personally, we drink beer with very spicy food!)

The famed Italian wine critic Luca Maroni scored this wine 96 - a pretty fantastic score!
