Our Rioja Reward case is a mixed case of 3 btls of a top scoring Special Bottling White Rioja and 3 btls of a fantastic Old Vines Garnacha (that's one of our favourites!) 

This 'Rioja Reward' mixed case is a real treat - it contains our 'Go-to' white wine and one of our absolute favourite red wines.

Nivarius Edicion Limitada 2020 DOC Rioja Blanco, Palacios Vinos de Finca
This top rated White Rioja is a blend of Viura (70%) and Maturana Blanca (30%) from a selection of Palacios vineyards for the Viura (70 year old vines between 500-600 metres ASL) and their high altitude Vineyard at 800 metres in Nalda for the Maturana.
A nice intense nose of baked apple, balsamic notes with a slight minerality in the background. Fresh and balanced on the palate with flavours of apples and pears. A long finish shows up the apple/pears again with a hint of spice.This is a steal!!
The critics scores for Nivarius Edicion Limitada are silly for a wine of this price!

Proelio Vinedos Viejos 2021 (Garnacha), Palacios Vinos de Finca, Rioja
From 80 year old vineyards at between 600m & 700m altitude, on 3 metre clay soils with a sandy rock base, it is elegant, fine and fresh.
A structured, complex and aromatic red laden with dark fruit notes, which are characteristic of how Garnacha ripens in these soils.  It is medium bodied, with an elegant cherry red colour with ruby red rims. On the nose it is intense and fresh with notes of wild red fruits and balsamic notes reminiscent of aromatic scrub land herbs. On the palate it is agile, fresh and fruity, and finishes long and fulfilling.This vintage, 2021, is just released so we are waiting for reviews but first in was Penin Guide who scored it 93 Points and noted retail price in Spain was €35.00 - so we are 'giving it' away!
