Sauvignon Blanc Vin de France 2025, Jean Colin, Loire, France
Minimum order: 6 bottles. We sell in cases of 6 or 12 to ensure you get the best deal, best price and best service.
Showing a beautiful pale gold colour with emerald glints, this lovely charming Sauvignon offers a very fruity and fresh palate with standout aromas of subtle tropical flavours (passion fruit etc). While showing these tropical flavours it remains dry, crisp and a very refreshing lemon edged finish.
A Summer hit no doubt!
This Sauvignon Vin de France from Jean Colin undergoes the same wine making process as the more famous and expensive Sancerre etc. After a gentle pressing and cold settling, fermentation (16°-18°) in stainless steel tanks and 'resting' on it's lees, it is bottled in the Spring, ensuring appealing texture and intensity of the aromas.
Alc. Vol. 12.5%

All our wines from Jean Colin have a wax seal over the cork so they look great! But a tip! Don't try to cut the wax off - just screw your (quality) corkscrew/waiter's friend through the wax and into the cork - the wax will crack and fall off! Too much work if you try anything else!
While 'Vin de France' is, theoretically a very general level of wine control, Jean Colin make their VDF wines in the Loire, with terroir & grapes they know and understand. This Sauvignon Blanc is from vineyards with a similar clay/limestone soil to their more famous wines (Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé etc) but from outside those specific appellations. This gives them the ability to make similar wines, with the same production methods and controls but with a more reasonable price - so Everyone is a Winner!
