We've just sold out of the 2020 vintage but the 2021 has arrived - and it's a beaut!

The 2021 vintage is considered by La Rioja Alta as one of the greatest vintages ever and they have awarded this wine their own internal classification of 'Selección Especial' for only the second time ever!

It's 100% Tempranillo and aged for 2 years in American oak casks. On the nose there are ripe red fruits with balsamic and spicy nuances.  In the mouth, you'll get rich black cherry fruits overlaid with gentle vanilla spice and a sweet finish - long and persistent with a complex aftertaste - with great aging potential! 
Perfect with roast lamb – and most other things!  

Now, we import Rioja & Ribera wines directly from Spain but we still list this wine as it's so good, and different from our Award Winning Proelio Reserva.
Our Proelio Reserva is all intense, round and silky with red berries up front, followed by forest fruits, vanilla and minerality with a long textured finish that is fresh and persistent.
The Alberdi is full bodied, rich and long. Basically they are from the same region, same varietals and both excellent - but different!
